Goodbye daylight saving, I really don’t like daylight saving. I’m an early morning person and I don’t care about having light at the end of the day. I don’t exercise outside after work, I don’t socialise with anyone after work, all I need is light and heat so I can cook and eat.

I recently wrote how the National Broadband Network (NBN) would become available to me in the flat I rent. The connection service would be fibre to the building with the existing copper wire connection from the NBN box in the basement to the wall socket in my flat.

I’m in Brisbane this weekend to belatedly celebrate the eighteenth birthday of my youngest child. All three children are now adults and able to vote.
Round one of the National Rugby League (NRL) season for 2019 began on Thursday evening. The Brisbane Broncos (the team I support) played the Melbourne Storm (my number three team in the competition). Unfortunately, the Storm defeated the Broncos convincingly.

I got back from a week in Québec City last Sunday afternoon. A remarkable thing, I haven’t experienced any significant jet lag. I’ve been sleeping okay and during the day I haven’t been feeling overly tired.
I spent the last week in Quebec city for work. I only knew two things about Québec. The people of Québec speak Canadian French and the provincial dish is poutine.
This week I spent a few days attending a meeting in Melbourne.
No, I’m not feeling crook. I’m finally feeling a bit better after an extended head cold and upper respiratory tract infection. No, I’m back to thinking about language again.

I was reading a medical news service, viz., The Medical Republic (TMR) and an article on early and late risers caught my eye. TMR had republished the content from The Conversation. The Conversation picked it up from Nature.
